Seminars given by the Arizona Center
Plastic Surgery are a special opportunity
for those of you who are interested in
learning more about cosmetic surgery as
well as those who are actually considering
cosmetic surgery. Here you have a chance
to evaluate your surgeon and his background,
to meet the staff, and to inspect the lovely facilities.
Also, being part of a group, you can relax
and think of the questions you really wanted
to ask as well as hear others' questions you
hadn't thought to ask yourself but wished to know.
The seminars are generally preceded by a time to
eat from a delicious buffet of hot and cold foods.
Each of the staff is introduced and their role explained so you know them
as a smiling person, not just a voice on the phone. We then discuss our
surgeons' education, honors, teaching roles. Each aspect with latest
developments in the rapidly changing field of cosmetic surgery is then
discussed and all your questions answered. In addition, before and after
slides of representative patients who have had a face lift, an eye lid
lift (blepharoplasty), droopy lids (blepharoptosis), laser resurfacing,
implants in their cheeks, lips, chin or their breasts, fat augmentation,
a nose revision (rhinoplasty), hair transplantation, and the new tumescent
liposuction are shown. After the discussion, tours of the office and the
adjacent surgical center are given. You can also see the skin resurfacing laser
used and chat with the doctor and the friendly, enthusiastic staff. Often
special visitors such as permanent makeup artists and visiting doctors are
present, and you have an opportunity to meet and visit with them. You can
also schedule a consultation and imaging (before and after pictures).
